Zhang Xilong, alumni of our school and deputy director of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, visited the school
On the morning of September 26th, the 81-grade alumni of the School of Japanese studies, Zhang Xilong, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, visited our school for inspection. The principal of our school Liu Hong received Zhang Xilong and his entourage, and the relevant persons in charge of the Party and Government Office and the School of Japanese studies accompanied them.
During the inspection, President Liu Hong first introduced to Zhang Xilong and his entourage the achievements of the school in recent years in personnel training, scientific research, discipline and professional construction, international exchanges and cooperation, improvement of school conditions, and service to the society. In particular, he introduced the construction of Japanese language disciplines, Achievements in cooperation and exchanges with Japan and training of Japanese talents. The school has just established the Japan Research Institute a few days ago. It will further integrate the research advantages both inside and outside the school, and home and abroad, focusing on the exchanges and cooperation between Liaoning and Dalian with Japan, so as to provide decision-making consultation guarantees for governments at all levels.
Zhang Xilong and his entourage focused on visiting the newly renovated library of our school, and listened to the introduction by the library director on the construction of book resources, infrastructure renovation, teaching and research services for teachers and students, and on-site inspections of the self-study area, reading room, and training inquiry about the school’s collection resources construction and electronic documentation system construction, and fully affirmed the school’s modern service facilities and warm and comfortable learning and reading environment.
The inspection team also visited the campus and spoke highly of the beautiful and pleasant natural and cultural environment of the campus. He hoped that the school would further utilize its advantages in foreign language subjects, adapt to the new situation of higher education development in the new era, and make more contributions to national and local economic development.
