Our school accepts quality certification for studying in China
Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, a group of six members of the China Education International Exchange Association's Study in China Quality Certification Working Group came to DUFL for on-site inspections from November 10 to 12. The expert group is led by Yao Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Ma Xiaolei, director of the Alumni Office of Beijing Language and Culture University, is the group leader.
On the morning of November 11th, the school held a quality certification on-site review briefing. Principal Liu Hong, vice principals Jiang Fengchun, Cong Mingcai, members of the school’s quality certification leading group for studying in China and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
Yao Li, the leader of the expert team and vice president of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, spoke on behalf of the China Education International Exchange Association. She emphasized the importance of carrying out quality certification for studying in China and pointed out that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward our country’s requirements. In 2035, we will build a country with a strong culture and education, and the important basis of education prosperity and cultural prosperity is the mutual learning and interaction between the world, so the internationalization of education is of great significance. As General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the National Education Conference, to create a more internationally competitive study abroad education, we need to further strengthen the "study in China" brand and improve the quality of studying in China.

On behalf of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, President Liu Hong welcomed and thanked the expert group for visiting the school for inspection and guidance. At the same time, she introduced to the expert group the relevant work of the school focusing on "quality and characteristics" in connotation construction in recent years and the development and construction characteristics of international school . She emphasized that the quality certification for studying in China is a milestone event for the school.
Vice-principal Jiang Fengchun introduced the basic situation of the school's education in China from five aspects, including the school's philosophy, development goals, key measures, main results, and deficiencies.
In the next two days, the expert group interviewed leaders of the school’s study abroad work in China, checked archives, interviewed management staff, teacher representatives, and student representatives of international students in China, and visited the International Student Counseling Room and the Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Room. , ACCA experimental class and other school facilities, in-depth class attendance, and a comprehensive understanding of the overall situation of the school’s teaching and management of studying in China.
On November 12, the school held an on-site quality certification review and feedback meeting. Principal Liu Hong, vice principals Jiang Fengchun, Cong Mingcai, members of the school’s quality certification leadership team for studying in China and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.
At the feedback meeting, Team Leader Ma Xiaolei made an overall evaluation of the school’s study in China based on on-site inspections, preliminary self-evaluation reports and supporting materials. The work of studying abroad and education put forward pertinent suggestions. The members of the expert group also exchanged their opinions on school-related work based on their respective professional fields.
In his statement, Vice President Jiang Fengchun pointed out that the expert group’s suggestions on building a tall building have a positive guiding role in promoting the sustainable development of the school’s study in China and formulating the “14th Five-Year Plan”. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" construction period, we may implement rectification and reform.
The school submitted an application for participating in quality certification of studying in China to the China Education International Exchange Association in October 2019. After this on-site inspection and with the help of the expert group's taking pulse, the school will use this certification as an opportunity to further rationalize and improve the management system and mechanism of international students , Build branded courses taught in English and majors taught in English, improve the quality of management services for international students, and make the education of studying in China a strong support for the school's discipline construction, "double first-class" construction and international development, and let the school's education in China be on a higher level, it will make greater contributions to building a new pattern of international exchanges and cooperation in higher education, serving the Northeast and national economic development, telling Chinese stories, establishing a good national image, and promoting the sustainable development of international Chinese education.
