International Art College of Dalian University of Foreign Languages set sail of inter-school cooperation

In order to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between colleges and universities, and promote the dissemination of advanced educational concepts, teaching models and management methods, according to the "Notice of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education on Determining Inter-School Cooperation Projects for Ordinary Colleges and Universities" issued by Liaoning Provincial Department of Education ( Liao Jiao Fa [2020] No. 28), the International Art College of our school cooperated with Dalian University of the Arts and Dalian University to undertake the inter-school cooperation project of ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities in Liaoning Province-Clothing and Apparel Design Collaborative Innovation Research Center.

Recently, as an important part of the joint training program for undergraduates, the launching ceremony and the first working conference of Liaoning Provincial Clothing and Apparel Design Collaborative Innovation Research Center were held at the Fashion College of Dalian University of the Arts. Liu Yumian, Deputy Dean of the School of International Art of our school, and Wang Wei, Director of Fashion Department, represent Dalian University of Foreign Languages and Dalian University of the Arts Jiang Maofa, Vice President Zhang Xiaomei, Secretary Ju Dehui, Secretary of the Academy of Art of Dalian University, Vice Dean Xie Tian, Director of Fashion Department Liu Li, etc. Attended the launching ceremony together.

At the launching ceremony, President Jiang Maofa of Dalian University of the Arts, on behalf of the project leader, awarded the plaques to Dalian University and Dalian University of Foreign Languages respectively.

After the licensing ceremony, Zhang Zhiyu, Dean of the School of Fashion of Dalian University of the Arts, reported on the implementation plan, project construction goals and content, specific measures and other aspects of the project. He said that the establishment of the center can promote inter-school alliances, deepen education and teaching reforms, achieve complementary advantages, and build a talent training system that adapts to the development of regional industries. At the same time, he hopes to use this as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with brother universities through traditional culture and brand Construction, new product development, international cooperation and other multi-dimensional docking of the apparel industry market to achieve collaborative innovation development.

Ju Dehui, secretary of the Academy of Fine Arts of Dalian University, and Xie Tian, deputy dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Dalian University, expressed their hope to further deepen cooperation with the establishment of the center, so as to effectively promote the sharing of education and teaching resources between schools, and not only carry out joint competitions and exhibitions of student works, but also possible to strengthen the exchanges between teachers and work together to do a good job in the inter-school cooperation projects between colleges and universities.

Deputy Dean Liu Yumian of the School of International Art of our school first expressed his sincere affirmation of this inter-school cooperation, and said that he would cherish this cooperation opportunity and give full play to the positive role of Dalian University of Foreign Languages​​as an international platform to provide diversified research centers .It is hoped that the three universities will give full play to their respective advantages to realize the revitalization of our country, especially the local garment industry in Dalian.

The establishment of Liaoning Provincial Clothing and Apparel Design Collaborative Innovation Research Center has played a role in strengthening the construction of teaching staff among universities, promoting inter-school cooperation and exchanges, and exploring new ways of talent training. The three universities will take this opportunity to actively seek new models and methods suitable for campus development, so as to promote the in-depth development of teaching reform and research, continuously improve the level of education and teaching and the quality of talent training, innovate talent training mechanisms, and deliver more applied art talents to the society.
