The National Natural Science Foundation of China (“NSFC”) has recently issued the document entitled A Notice on Granting the Second Batch of Projects in 2015 (GKJJX[2015] No. 17). The Research on Edge Detection Models and Optimal Strategies of Aerial Ocean Remote Sensing Images Based on Active Contour Models, a research project applied by Associate Professor Jing Yu from School for Software Engineering at DUFL, was accredited as a project supported by Young Scientists Fund. Up to now, two such projects presided by teachers of DUFL have been approved by the Fund.
