The launching ceremony of the DUFL-CSTC training program was held in Conference Room 609 of the Administration Building at Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL) on the afternoon of October 19th. Ms. Jennifer Yang, general manager of Citigroup Service and Technology (China), Limited (CSTC) and Mr.Yang Junfeng, vice president of DUFL attended the ceremony. Over 160 people, including heads from relevant departments of CSTC branch in Dalian and delegates of our students and faculty participated in the ceremony.
Vice president Yang Junfeng said in his speech that DUFL has always attached great importance to practice-based teaching and has intensified efforts in the construction and development of social practice bases, experimental teaching demonstration center, students’ innovation and entrepreneurship training program, etc. DUFL-CSTC Financial Service Training Center is meant to be the largest financial IT talent training base with the most advanced knowledge system in Northeast China. The DUFL-CSTC co-training program is established to build a financial center of Northeast Asia and promote financial software talent cultivation in Dalian. Through an efficient integration of different educational environment and resources from both sides, the comprehensive quality and capacity of the students are expected to be increased to meet the needs of economic development. This training program is co-founded in expectation of a solid foundation for further cooperation, contributing more to the cultivation of software service outsourcing talents for Dalian and Northeast Asia.
General manager Ms. Jennifer Yang said in her speech that DUFL graduates are the main force of Citigroup Service and Technology (China) Ltd, and quite a number of them have advanced from ordinary employees to department managers. She expects more outstanding students of DUFL to become the future managers of Citicorp. Ms. Yang highly appreciates the professional skills as well as the practical ability of DUFL students and expresses her confidence about the further development of cooperation projects in the future. She also hopes that the co-training program can not only impart knowledge, but also offer a platform for sharing experiences and exchanging ideas.
