President Liu Hong met with the delegation headed by Jin Zhuqian, Press and Cultural Consul from the Consulate of the United States in Shenyang on October 20, 2016. Present at the meeting were Heads from International Exchange and Cooperation Office, School of English Studies, School of Advanced Translation and Interpretation, and School of International Business.

During the meeting, President Liu introduced the achievements in International education and innovative teaching in recent years, pointing out that DUFL would focus on the development of disciplines for the English majors in the next five years. She hoped that this visit could further promote mutual understanding and mutual cooperation, and support Sino-American cultural exchanges and international program cooperation.

Consul Jin Zhuqian stressed the importance of a closer relationship and cooperation between China and the U.S. in the field of education and culture and other aspects in the future. He said that the Consulate General of the United States in Shenyang will regularly send 2-4 experts from American institutions to teach at DUFL, and provide more guidance in the process of visa applications for students going to the US.
