In last few days, Prof. Shi Zidong of International Academy of Arts, attended the “Pearl of Silk Road & Dushanbe International Exhibition of The Works by Artists for Peace” held in National Museum of Tajikistan. The drawings on this Exhibition are from more than 40 countries and areas such as China, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy, Estonia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Iraq and other countries.
During the Exhibition, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, and Vice Chairman of China Association for International Friendly Contact, National Anti-Terrorism Security Officer and Mr. Cheng Guoping, former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, who leads the China “Peace Tour” Artists Delegation, attended the exhibition. Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon presented six international artists with golden, silver and bronze awards for this Exhibition, and met the Artists Delegations of all participating countries. The Chinese artists Zheng Yi, Deputy Party Secretary of Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, and Gu Zong, Dean of the Department of Arts and Design of Academy of Arts and Media of Beijing Normal University, were awarded with golden and silver prizes.
Tajikistan Culture Minister Orumbekzoda Shamsiddin, and President of Academy of Arts and Science Olimdzho Rabiev, awarded Certificate of Honor Academician of Tajikistan Arts and Science Academy, and Medal of Arts of Tajikistan National Flag Ribbon to the Chinese artists, including Shi Zidong, Professor of International Academy of Arts of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Zheng Yi, Deputy Party Secretary of Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, Gu Zong, Dean of the Department of Arts and Design of Academy of Arts and Media in Beijing Normal University, Wang Hongliang, Professor of Sculpture Department of Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, Hu Xianjing, master violinmaker of China Broadcast Orchestra, Zhang Zhimin, President of Shandong University of Arts and Chairman of Shandong Artists Association, Zhang Leizhen, Vice President of Xinjiang Fine Arts Academy and Vice Executive Chairman of Xinjiang Oil Painting Association. Besides, the painting works of Professor Shi Zidong were collected by Tajikistan National Museum.
This Painting Exhibition is co-sponsored by Artists For International Peace Alliance, Silk Road Peace Funds, Beijing Peace Tour Culture Exchange Center and the Government of Republic of Tajikistan and its Academy of Arts and Science, with the aim of promoting the friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Tajikistan, further deepening mutual understanding between China and Central Asian countries and strengthening the exchanges and cooperation under the framework of the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization). The Exhibition, as one of the activities of countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, not only provided a great opportunity for the world to understand Tajikistan, but also serves as a stage to promote mutual exchanges and friendship in culture and art and other fields among these countries.
