Cheng Siyu Lands an Intern Job at the Director’s Office of UN Beijing Office

Cheng Siyu, a translation major of class 2018 from School of Advanced Translation & Interpretation in DUFL, landed an intern job at the Director’s Office of UNESCO Beijing office recently.

Cheng’s college life is colorful and rewarding. She served as the vice president of Model APEC Club and the minister of SATI Network Information Department. She attended Harvard Model United Nations Conference in Boston as the head delegate of DUFL. She was employed as an interpreter for foreign crew in Shenyang Taoxian International Airport and was responsible for submitting related materials to Customs, CII and CIQ. Cheng also attended the postgraduate exemption recommendation summer camp at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where she was awarded the best debater in a debate competition together with the group runner-up. Besides, she worked as an intern in Mercedes-Benz and Tencent.

By virtue of her rich knowledge reserve, excellent language skills and outstanding overall performance, Cheng Siyu qualified exceptionally as an intern in the Director’s office of UN Beijing which opens only to students with master’s or doctoral degrees.
