President Liu expressed warm welcome to the university delegation and expressed gratitude to the British Embassy in China for its contribution to the meeting. She also gave a detailed introduction to the international exchange situation and professional settings of the university. First of all, President Liu said that internationalization is an important part of the development of “one body and two wings” during the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period. Our school has always attached great importance to improving the level of international education, promoting international talent training and optimizing the faculty construction. Secondly, in terms of professional setting, our foreign language majors strive to actively serve the national strategy and actively serve the national “Belt and Road” needs; non-foreign language majors insist on highlighting foreign language characteristics and exporting compound talents to the society. This year is the golden age of Sino-British cooperation and development. President Liu hopes that the universities in the two countries will take this opportunity to expand the exchange of higher education in all aspects and in various forms, and put forward practical suggestions from the aspects of teacher exchange, undergraduate exchanges and master projects. .

Subsequently, representatives from five universities in the UK gave a brief introduction on the history of their schools, their geographical location, their professional settings, and their cooperation with domestic universities. Relevant persons in charge of the Cultural and Education Section of the British Embassy, the Northern Ireland Development Agency, and the China-Britain Business Council expressed their willingness to provide support for the cooperation between the two universities.
