The Kazakhstan Research Center held an academic forum themed“languageas the keyto ethnic and national unity” at the Russian Center onNovember25th. over 40 Chinese and foreign students fromDUFL, DMU, DPU and other universities attended theforum. The purpose of this forum is to strengthen language and cultural exchanges between China and Kazakhstan,especiallyacademic exchanges among the youth. The meeting was co-chaired by experts from two countries, and was jointly organized by teachersfromRussianDepartmentand the Chinese President Office of SCO University.

Students exchangedtheirviews on the theme of “language asthekey to ethnic and national unity” from four aspects.The forum contained two parts: keynotespeeches and a group discussion, in which 26 students gave speeches and presentations.

It was the first international academic forum independently held by theKazakhstan Research Center and the first academic communication organized forthe youth, which is helpful for students to learn aboutKazakhstan.The Kazakhstan Research Center willcontinueits role as a bridge to propelpeople-to-people and academic exchanges between China and Kazakhstan bypromoting the realization of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
