On November 30, Li Jingjing, a teacher from Beijing Foreign Studies University, visited Department of Italian and Arabic Studies and gave a lecture entitiled “Renaissance in Text” to all students majoring in Italian. Teachers of Italian Teaching and Research and Italian majors attended the lecture.
Ms. Li detailed the importance of Renaissance from four aspects, which are “the needs of the Renaissance”, “the driving force of the Renaissance”, “the changes and influences brought about by the Renaissance”, and “understanding and studyofthe contemporary significance of the Renaissance”.
When talking about the last aspect,Ms. Li said that the study of the Renaissance is of great significance for the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. She encouraged students to devote themselves to the study of the Renaissance and maketheir owncontributions to realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
