Our school and Ukraine Odessa State Conservatory of Music held an online opening ceremony for the International Curriculum Project
On the afternoon of March 31st, the opening ceremony of the international course "Music Master Class Online Course -- Chorus and Conducting", which is a cooperation project between our school and Ukraine Odessa National Conservatory of Music, was held online. Vice President Jiang Fengchun, heads of International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Youth League Committee, School of International Art and other relating departments, and more than 80 teachers and students from School of International Art, School of Russian and Choir of Youth League Committee attended the opening ceremony.
Vice President Jiang Fengchun first delivered a speech. The international online course project jointly carried out by our school and Ukraine Odessa National Conservatory of Music is not only a new attempt to internationalize the musicology major of our school of international art, but also an important measure of our school to realize the internationalization of courses, which is of great significance. Through the internationalization of the courses, we can learn from the excellent teaching ideas, teaching methods and teaching skills of foreign countries, so that our students can share the high-quality courses and teaching resources from universities around the world in the domestic campus, and improve the quality of talent cultivation of our school.
It is hoped that the students and teachers can make full use of the valuable resources and achieve something. We hope thatwhen the global epidemic is brought under control, the two universities can realize offline exchange visits. We will take this online course project as an opportunity to carry out all-round exchanges and cooperation in teaching, scientific research, art practice and other aspects in the future.
Odessa State Conservatory of Music of Ukraine Odessa President Olenik Alexander Leonidovich expressed his gratitude to Dalian Universityof Foreign Languagesfor its support and attention to the cooperation project between the two schools. The Odessa State Conservatory of Music is the oldest and world renowned institution of higher music education in Ukraine. It not only gathers outstanding teachers and experts from all over the world, but also produces many world-renowned musicians and composers.
Ukraine Odessa national institute andDalian Universityof Foreign Languages are highly consistent in the music and international talent training philosophy, It is hoped that through the inter-school cooperation relations with Dalian Universityof Foreign Languages, we can takeadvantage of and share advanced education ideas and the high quality education resources to conduct activities of characteristicsfor both teachers and studentsand make contributions to education of common progress to promote the rapid development of the education internationalization for two schools.
After the opening ceremony, Ms. Bonda Yevgenya Nikolayevna, a teaching expert from the National Conservatory of Music in Odessa, Ukraine, and Ms. Jia Shiyi, a teacher from the International Academy of Arts, jointly taught the course "Music Master Class OnlineCourse -- Chorus and Conducting" for the students.
At present, our school has signed an inter-school cooperation agreement with the National Conservatory of Music in Odessa, Ukraine, to carry out international curriculum projects. In this semester, the International Academy of Art first carried out the course of "Music Master ClassOnlineCourse - Chorus and Conducting". Then, courses such as "Piano Performance Skills and Characteristics", "Characteristics of National Instrumental Music Performance", "Application and Training Methods of Vocal Music Performance" will be carried out in different stages.
