The second batch of doctoral students of "Northeast Asia Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs High-end Talents" doctoral training program of our university in 2021 successfully passed the defense
According to the latest requirements of Dalian's epidemic prevention and control work and the deployment of the school's novel coronavirus prevention and control work, the Graduate Department and the Northeast Asia Research Center of our school made overall arrangements for the defense of doctoral dissertation both online and offline. On July 2nd, successfully completed the defense of the second batch of doctoral dissertation of the doctoral training program of "Northeast Asia Foreign Affairs High-end Talents" in 2021.
This thesis defense meeting was chaired by Professor Yang Ke. the doctoral supervisor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The doctoral supervisor of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Professor Tian Hailong, and the doctoral supervisor of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Professor Sun Yuhua, Professor Peng Wenzhao, and Professor Liu Fengguang, served as members of the defense committee. The defense committee was connected in Guangdong, Tianjin and Liaoning, and some doctoral students from Dalian University of Foreign Studies participated in the defense of the doctoral dissertation online.
At Defense conference, doctoral student YueXue has carried on the key points of the 7 parts of research background, objectives and significance, literature review, analysis, research design, the concept of political culture in Mr Putin's political discourse in her paper of "putin's political discourse" in the system construction and the evolution of the concept of political culture study (2000-2020), the research background, Then, the defense committee made comments and asked questions on the content of the paper. During the thesis defense, Yue Xue gave a complete and clear description and answered the questions accurately. After careful discussion and voting, the Defense Committee unanimously approved the defense of Yue Xue's doctoral dissertation and suggested that she be awarded the Doctor of Literature degree.
Finally, Chairman Yang Ke, on behalf of the Defense Committee, congratulated Dalian University of Foreign Languages on the achievements of doctoral training and put forward valuable suggestions for future doctoral training. Professor Liu Hong, the doctoral supervisor, pointed out that under the background of the construction of new liberal arts, the doctoral training program of "Northeast Asia Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs High-end Talents" of our university played a positive role in the construction of emerging interdisciplinary disciplines of our university. Interdisciplinary research should be conducted in the fields of politics, economy, culture and society of Northeast Asia region and country, and efforts should be made to build a Northeast Asian discipline cluster with the advantages and characteristics of Dalian University of Foreign Languages.
In the future, the Graduate Office and Northeast Asia Research Center of our university will further consolidate the previous training achievements, continue to fully implement the spirit of the National Postgraduate Education Conference, adhere to the quality first, innovation leads, deepen the connotation, and constantly improve the quality and training ability of doctoral students in our university. To cultivate "multilingual +" international, innovative, compound and applied high-end foreign language talents for serving China's special national strategic needs such as diplomacy in Northeast Asia, "the Belt and Road" cultural exchange and "Chinese culture going out".
