Our school held the first Sino-Japanese Language Education Seminar

On December 11th, the first Sino-Japanese Language Education Seminar was opened in the cloud, co-sponsored by the Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education and our school, and co-hosted by the International Chinese Education Practice and Research Base of our school, the Japanese Language Institute, and the China Northeast Asian Language Research Center of the State Language Commission. Ma Jianfei, director of the Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education, and Liu Hong, president of our school, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, and Experts and scholars from Japanese language education and Chinese education from 15 Chinese and Japanese universities, including Tianjin Foreign Chinese University, Nihon University, Peking University, Beijing University of Foreign Chinese, Kansai Gakuin University, Shandong University, and Meiji Gakuin University, attended the seminar. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice President Chang Junyue.




In his speech, Director Ma Jianfei said that China and Japan are close neighbors with one cloth and one water, the friendly exchanges between the two peoples have a long history, and language education has played an important role in the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields. He stressed that educators should be committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Japan, constantly consolidating the foundation of people-to-people exchanges, gathering the strength of people-to-people exchanges, promoting mutual understanding among the people through language exchanges and cooperation, and striving to lay a solid foundation for friendship. Finally, Director Ma Jianfei looks forward to taking this seminar as an opportunity to summarize and share good experiences and good practices with experts in the field of Chinese and Japanese language education, learn from each other and discuss with each other, and provide suggestions and suggestions for better promoting the two-way exchange of Chinese education and promoting the common progress of the language education for both countries.

In his speech, President Liu Hong briefly introduced the achievements of our school in cultivating Japanese language professionals, discipline construction, teaching and scientific research and building Japanese research institutes over the years as the largest Japanese language education teaching unit outside Japan, and pointed out that since the establishment of Dalian Japanese Language College in 1964, the school has adhered to serving the national diplomatic foreign affairs strategy and economic and social development while running the Japanese language discipline major well. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with the development goal of building a high-level applied foreign Chinese university with distinctive characteristics in Northeast Asia, our university will promote the construction of a talent training and knowledge innovation community through the development of Japanese language education and Chinese education, and serve the cause of friendly exchanges between China and Japan.

President Liu Hong hoped that the Chinese and Japanese experts and scholars attending the meeting would focus on the theme of language education exchanges, explore new paths, new mechanisms and new methods of Sino-Japanese language education in the new era, strengthen the communication and exchange of high-quality resources and information between the two sides in terms of talent training and academic research, jointly improve the teaching and scientific research level of teachers of the two countries, effectively promote the internationalization process of Japanese language education and Chinese education, and jointly promote the educational exchanges and cooperation between the two countries into a new stage.

The keynote speech and discussion session of the seminar invited 15 experts in the field of Chinese and Japanese Chinese education, including Xiu Gang, former president of Tianjin Chinese University, Wu Chuan, distinguished professor of Nihon University, Yu Kang of Kansai Gakuin University, and Zhan Qingsheng, professor of Kagoshima International University, to conduct in-depth exchanges around the two major themes of "promoting two-way exchanges between Chinese and Japanese language education" and "comparative research on Chinese and Japanese language teaching" respectively, to jointly discuss the new problems and new situations facing Chinese language education and Japanese education in China and Japan, and at the same time to address the "three teachings" And other micro issues to fully communicate and interact, while the number of people online is nearly 300, the response is enthusiastic.

As one of the series of activities of the International Chinese Education Exchange Week of the Sino-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education in 2021, this seminar not only provides new ideas and perspectives for the practice and research of Chinese and Japanese language education, but also strengthens the mutual learning and two-way exchanges between Chinese and Japanese scholars in the field of Chinese education, brings new enlightenment to future exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Japan, and provides a new direction for promoting the common development of both sides.
