On February 14th, Han University held a conference on foreign students studying in China in 2023. Li Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of our University, Minister of the United Front Work Department, members of the leadership of Han University, leaders of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation and the Department of Confucius Institute and relevant staff attended the meeting.
Chen Zijiao, President of Han University, first reported the progress of the work of studying in China at the present stage, sorted out the key work of this year, analyzed the problems and challenges facing the current work, and looked forward to the future work.
Li Fan, Director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, and Di Zhenyu, deputy director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation, put forward the development priorities of the education for students in China from the perspectives of the cooperation between friendly colleges and universities, the promotion of China-Thailand partnership plan, the cooperation and exchange with ASEAN countries, the utilization of online platforms and the construction of resources, the construction of international courses, and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions for the future work.
Fu Qiong, Director of the Confucius Institute Office, and Bai Jingguang, deputy director of the Confucius Institute Office, put forward the key points for further development of the work of studying in China from the perspectives of overseas Confucius Institute cooperation, overseas Chinese professional development, online Chinese classroom construction, and the construction of international Chinese education practice projects and innovative projects, providing new ideas for future work.
Finally, Minister Li Yan made a concluding speech. She said that this meeting has sorted out and clarified the focus of the work of studying in China this year, pointed out the difficulties and outstanding problems in the work, and also discussed and provided some innovative work ideas and development paths. In the future work, all departments and units should cooperate closely, establish the consciousness of not leading and lagging behind, always maintain the sense of urgency, with the courage to innovate and develop a sense of development, powerful executive force, make concerted efforts to do a good job in our school to study in China.
This conference focused on the major work of studying abroad in China in 2023, providing new ideas and methods for the development of education for studying abroad in China. Han University will cooperate closely with relevant departments and units to maintain integrity and innovation, and jointly promote the quality and efficient development of our university's work of studying abroad in China.
