On September 1st, the Award Ceremony of the 2023 National Translation Technology Competition and the Seminar on Translation Practice and Education Model Innovation in the Digital Humanities Era, jointly sponsored by Translators Association of China, School of Translation and Translation Administration of CIPG and Dalian University of Foreign Languages, was successfully held in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
During the event, the School of Translation and Interpretation of CIPG and Dalian University of Foreign Languages signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Gao Anming, Deputy Director and Editor-in-Chief of CIPG, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of Translators Association of China, Liu Hong, President of Dalian University of Foreign Languages and Vice President of Translators Association of China, and Huang Yulong, President of Translation School of CIPG witnessed the signing. Wang Fei, Vice President of the School of Translation and Translation of China Foreign Language Administration, and Liu Fengguang, Vice President of Dalian University of Foreign Languages signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
In the future, the two sides will depend on the industry channels, high-end experts and other resource advantages of the Translation School of CIPG, as well as the multilingual talent cluster advantages of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, to jointly carry out translation talent training through the organization and implementation of major translation projects, and jointly promote the innovative development of translation education and the intelligent and digital upgrading of the translation industry.
