Our delegation was invited to visit Brazil and Argentina


At the invitation of the University of Brasilia in Brazil and the Central National University of Buenos Aires Province in Argentina, Wang Weichen, Secretary of the University Party Committee, led a delegation from the University to visit Brazil and Argentina from October 22 to 30, and signed an interuniversity cooperation framework agreement with the two universities, accompanied by the relevant heads of the European Language Institute and the Confucius Institute Working Office.












On the afternoon of October 23 local time, Minister Li Yongzhong of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil met with the delegation. Wang Zhiwei, Education Counselor of the Embassy attended the meeting together.


Secretary Wang Weichen thanked the Embassy in Brazil for its strong support to the Confucius Institute at UBrasilia, and introduced the development of international Chinese education in UBrasilia. After the signing ceremony, the two sides held specific consultations and exchanges on how to implement the contents of the agreement, and the delegation also conducted field research on the operation of the University of Brasilia.


In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Brasilia to investigate the running of the school and had a discussion with Chinese and foreign teachers of the Confucius Institute. On October 26, local time, the delegation visited the City Hall of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and exchanged views on the internationalization of education with Maurio Arejo Guevara, head of the International Exchange Office, and Ana Lopetegui, education officer.


Maorio Arejo Guevara welcomed the visit of the delegation of our university, believing that the visit has effectively promoted the understanding and cooperation between the two countries, regions and even universities. Secretary Wang introduced the geographical characteristics, subject setting and international education of the university, and sincerely expressed the desire of the university to enhance communication and understanding with Argentine universities, integrate the educational resources of China and Argentina, and jointly cultivate talents.

This visit has enhanced the level and space of cooperation between our university and Brazilian universities, promoted the high-quality development of our Confucius Institute in Brazil, and opened up a new pattern of cooperation and exchange between our university and Argentine universities. During the visit, numerous exchange intentions and cooperation consensus were reached, and substantive project cooperation agreements were signed, which effectively implemented the three "two-wheel drive" development concepts in the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of the school's education cause, and played a positive role in promoting the effective use of high-quality international educational resources, broadening the channels for international talent training, and international cooperation in academic research.
