On the afternoon of January 5, the graduation and completion ceremony for international students in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year was held in the lecture hall of the library. All the international students and all the homeroom teachers of Han College attended the ceremony, which was presided over by Cao Bo, Vice President of Han College.
The ceremony was kicked off by a heartwarming video, in which students participated in the International Cultural Festival, the New Year Party, the Chinese speech competition, and the warm moments with students and teachers in the class, leading everyone to relive the wonderful campus life.
Afterwards, Cao Bo, vice president of Han University, read out the list of graduates and the list of graduates and the list of students who have won various awards of Han University. President Chen Zijiao issued graduation certificates and completion certificates to the graduates and representatives of the graduates, and Secretary Sun Mingcai presented honorary certificates to the representatives of the award-winning students.
Mu Xiaoyang from Italy spoke as a representative of the graduating students. He reflected on his journey to learn Chinese, as well as the experience of showcasing Italian culture at the international Cultural festival this semester, learning Cantonese and performing at the New Year party. At the same time, he also said that he will continue to study and work hard in the future, so that every language and culture can resonate in the digital age, and strive for a better future
On behalf of the teachers, Ms. Guo Jing sent her heartfelt parting words to the graduates and graduates. She reviewed the progress of the students from the beginning of the university to familiar with China, from a beginner who can only speak a few words of Chinese to a real "China hand" growth, and hoped that international students continue to study Chinese hard and become friendly ambassadors to publicize China and spread Chinese culture.
Han College President Chen Zijiao delivered final speech. She summarized the gains and achievements of international students in learning, participating in activities and participating in various levels and competitions in this semester, and put forward expectations for the students. It is hoped that the students will continue to improve their abilities, work hard in their respective majors and work, build a bridge between their own countries and China, introduce the real, three-dimensional and comprehensive China to the world, and make their own contributions to the construction of the "Belt and Road" and the interconnection of world economy, trade and culture.
