On February 6, Aveiro University and Dalian University of Foreign Languages jointly held the Sino-foreign exchange activity of the "Language Bridge" practice base for international Chinese education majors, and the cooperation practice base project of the two universities was officially launched. The conference attracted nearly 100 Chinese and foreign teachers, students and parents online and offline.
During the exchange, Chen Zijiao, president of Han University, introduced to the students and their parents the basic situation of our university studying in China, as well as the teaching and professional Settings of international students in the form of videos and pictures, and encouraged students to learn more about China through different paths and programs and strive for opportunities to study in China. For students from Portugal and Brazil, the teacher in charge of international student enrollment introduced the advantages of studying in China, campus life for international students, and various scholarship programs of our university, providing guidance for students to have a more comprehensive understanding and integration into campus life.
Kanina, a Brazilian student majoring in Chinese as a Foreign language at Dalian University of Foreign Studies, told about her life on campus and shared her experiences growing up. She said the school's comprehensive Chinese curriculum helped her improve her language skills and deepen her understanding of Chinese culture. The rich elective courses give students the opportunity to further expand their knowledge and improve their personal cultivation. The teachers' professional quality, patient attitude, constant care and help make the students feel the warm educational atmosphere.
Online participants from Brazil and Portugal asked questions about their study, life and study abroad. Kanina, a teacher and student in our school, answered the questions we were concerned about. This activity has built a broad platform for Chinese learners at home and abroad to communicate, and strengthened the understanding and communication between different cultures.
In November 2023, the country's first international Chinese education professional "Language Bridge" characteristic practice base project was jointly signed by Chinese Alliance - Wuzhou Hanfeng Network Technology (Beijing) Co., LTD., Dalian University of Foreign Languages, and Portugal's Aveero University. Based on digital intelligence empowerment, the project aims to build a professional practice platform for international Chinese education, promote practice opportunities for Chinese and foreign students to be mutually "language partners", and provide students with more in-depth and comprehensive language learning and cultural exchange experience.
