Recently, the Center for Degree and Graduate Education Development of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 2023 annual theme case collection project, and the "Going Out" theme case submitted by Associate Professor Sun Liang, the tutor of Master of Translation in our university, was successfully selected. This is the first time that the university has been approved for this project, which marks a new breakthrough in the construction of the case database and case teaching for professional degree graduates in our university. This year's theme case collection work centered on the four themes of "wisdom building in a big country", "Chinese inheritance", "regional coordinated development" and "Going global", attracting a total of 1,483 projects recommended by 311 graduate training units, covering 62 professional degree categories.
Case teaching is an important way to strengthen the cultivation of practical innovation ability of professional degree postgraduates in the new era, promote the organic integration of teaching and practice, and also an important means to promote the high-quality development of professional degree postgraduates in schools. In recent years, our university has taken a number of measures to continuously strengthen the construction of case database and case teaching, established the Professional degree Case Expert Committee of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, formulated the Charter of the Professional Degree Case Expert Committee of Dalian University of Foreign Languages, and selected 21 members of the first professional degree case expert Committee of our university to provide intellectual support for the construction of professional degree cases and case teaching. With the revision of the 2023 graduate training program as the starting point, we should strengthen case teaching and promote the unification of practical courses and practical courses for professional degree postgraduates, and the unification of campus courses and off-campus practices. Held 9 "Innovative Case study sharing Case Construction" and "integration of industry and education" series lectures to improve the case study and case teaching ability of graduate tutors; The organization carried out the selection of outstanding teaching cases for professional degree postgraduates, and 15 cases such as "Enterprise-demand-oriented MTI Applied Talent Training Innovation" were rated as outstanding teaching cases for professional degree postgraduates of the university, laying a solid foundation for the construction of a case base and case teaching system with the characteristics of University.
In the future, the University will further innovate the construction of case database and case teaching, strengthen the support and incentive of case studies, promote the organic integration of professional degree postgraduate teaching and practice, actively promote the high-quality development of professional degree postgraduate education in the university in the new era, and provide talent support and intellectual support for the new breakthrough of Liaoning's comprehensive revitalization.
