Recently, China Knowledge released the “Evaluation Report of Highly Influential Academic Journals (2024)”, and “Research on Overseas Communication of Chinese Culture”, sponsored by the Center for Overseas Research of Chinese Culture of the University and published by Social Science Literature Publishing House, was selected as the “Highly Influential Academic Journals (Literature) of 2024”.
China Scientific Bibliometric Evaluation and Research Center set up six secondary indexes based on two dimensions: citation frequency and download frequency, and selected 166 high-influence academic journals from 1,159 journals included in China Knowledge Network. With a high influence index of 2.236, Research on Overseas Spread of Chinese Culture was successfully selected.
Research on Overseas Communication of Chinese Culture, founded in 2018, is currently the first specialized academic journal in the field of research on overseas communication of Chinese culture. The journal always adheres to the correct direction of publication, abides by scientific standards and academic norms, upholds the tenet of originality, internationality and standardization, takes the responsibility of leading and promoting the research and practice of overseas communication of Chinese culture, and strives to build a high-end academic platform in the field of overseas communication research of Chinese culture.
The journal has clear objectives and rationally designed columns, including interviews with famous experts, cutting-edge reports, Chinese culture going out, cross-cultural communication, “One Belt, One Road” communication, overseas sinology, Chinese international communication, international communication in film and television, and Chinese Hollywood studies. With its unique academic orientation and high-quality research results, the program has had a great impact on the academic circles at home and abroad. It has established cooperative relationships with famous universities and research institutions in China to jointly organize academic activities, and won the Best Organization Award of the Fifth International Chinese Hollywood Society. The journal has been included in a variety of periodical databases, such as China Knowledge Network and Collected Journal Full Text Database, and has won a number of national and industry honors; it was selected as an AMI Core Collection of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journals in 2022, and was twice selected as a collection of the CNI List of the Social Science Literature Publishing House in 2022 and 2024 (2022-2023) and (2024-2025).
