Combining the missions of the times, the university’s red heritage and youth growth, Deputy Party Secretary Su Jian offered three earnest exhortations to all graduates of the Class of 2026. First, uphold the university motto to cultivate moral integrity and carry forward the university’s red legacy. He urged graduates to bear in mind the school motto Uphold Virtue, Value Scholarship, Embrace Diversity and Inclusiveness, abide by the principle of conducting oneself with morality, grasp the life philosophy of "great virtue bears all things", and regard self-cultivation and family harmony as the foundation of personal conduct.

He pointed out that the university is steadily carrying out education on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance. The suggestions put forward by students constitute important topics for advancing the university’s high-quality development. All departments shall immediately sort out and categorize all proposals item by item and set up work ledgers. Issues that can be resolved promptly shall be implemented without delay; for problems that cannot be fully solved in the short term, special research plans shall be formulated with clear implementation roadmaps and detailed solutions, and the final rectification results shall be timely fed back to graduates. He expressed sincere gratitude to the students for their concern for the alma mater and candid advice, and wished all graduates a smooth graduation and a bright future.

This forum built a bridge for two-way communication and sincere dialogue between the alma mater and its graduates. May all students of Dalian University of Foreign Languages keep the alma mater’s exhortations in mind, contribute to the new era with their expertise, and let their youth shine on the broad stage of society.
