Our University Holds 2026 Graduation Ceremony

On June 17, the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 was held in the University Sports & Culture Hall. University leaders, all cadres at and above the deputy division level, counselors of graduating cohorts, graduates of the Class of 2026, alumni representatives from the Class of 2006, faculty representatives, alumni delegates and parents of graduating students attended the solemn yet warm event to witness this memorable milestone. The ceremony was presided over by Su Jian, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee.

The ceremony opened with current student representatives and campus logistics staff joining the White Magnolia Choir to perform The Story of Time. The choir then delivered a stirring rendition of Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies, electrifying the whole venue. A commemorative video titled To Youth, Toward the Future conveyed the graduates’ deep gratitude and longing for their alma mater.

Next, Zhao Yong, Vice President of the University, read out the full list of graduates from the Class of 2026. Four student representatives shared heartfelt stories of their growth at Dalian University of Foreign Languages: Li Wenwen, undergraduate from the School of French; Jin Shuying, postgraduate from the School of Journalism and Communication; Liu Yafeng, doctoral graduate from the Northeast Asia Research Center; and Do Lan Anh, a Vietnamese international student from the School of Chinese Language.

Following the university flag handover ceremony, all graduates took an oath facing the university flag, led by Zheng Ziqian, an undergraduate student from the School of Advanced Translation.

All graduates bid farewell to their alma mater. Though roads ahead stretch far and wide, the university will always stand as a warm harbor for its students. As the melody of the university anthem Set Sail filled the air, all graduates sang in unison, bringing the graduation ceremony to a successful close amid rousing chorus. As the farewell songs mark new journeys, may all graduates ride the wind and cleave the waves toward brilliant futures!
