Recently, according to the official announcement of the Chinese Embassy in Norway, our university alumnus Zhou Jingxing arrived in Norway to take up his new post as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Norway.

In a written statement at the airport, Ambassador Zhou Jingxing noted that Norway was one of the first Western countries to recognize New China. Over the 72 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have withstood the test of international vicissitudes and maintained stable and sustainable development. China is willing to work with Norway to implement the important consensus of the two countries' leaders, uphold the partnership positioning, maintain close high-level exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen multilateral coordination, and continue to bring well-being to the two peoples while jointly contributing to world peace and development. Zhou Jingxing expressed his expectation to work hand in hand with people from all sectors in Norway to enhance mutual understanding, deepen friendship, and bring political mutual trust, practical cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges to a new level, writing a new splendid chapter in China-Norway relations.
